Welcome to Planning for College Success

Who we are

Planning for College Success is a local organization devoted to assisting and encouraging the students from local inner city schools to continue with their education and eventually be accepted into college. In the past year, our devotion to these students proved worthy when their science scores on the standardized tests increased by 40%! We continue to strive towards helping the students receive the best possible education, while encouraging them that learning is fun and beneficial all at the same time.

What we do

Members of PFCS, volunteer and go to the local middle school, Kennedy Middle School. We go into the 8th grade science labs and help the students understand the concepts that are being introduced by preparing exciting and informative labs. Along with helping the students with science labs, we also offer tutoring to any students in need at the middle school.

What you can do

If you want to get involed, let us know! You can sign up on our Schedule link with days and times that you are available to come and help teach science labs. Under the Tutoring link, you can sign up for specific dates and times as well that you are able to go and tutor students. If you have any great ideas for 8th grade science labs, (anything dealing with physical science) then click on our Labs link. If you are available to drive, please sign up through the Car Pools link.
